without looking at it i am assuming where the top of the spring meets the bushing and top hat has rubbed threw. remember how i showed you the spring is shapped diferently at the top and it would eventually put to much stress on that bushing. well it happened lol.

you fucking suck dude lol. you made my car noisy!! im jk, Ill have to take the strut off when i get the chance and check out the top part. weird bc the left side is fine, and the noise doesnt happen all the time. thought it might have been from spinning the strut too much or not spinning it enough when installing onto car.

Where can get new top hats?? If i can get new ones that are possibly larger that'll do.
and you can make more $ haha.

chances are you messed up the strut by spinning it installing springs did you spin strut when installing springs i do it all the time but i heard it is bad for it.
Why would he spray wd-40 on it? He didn't say he needed water off of it or that it was rusting. Know your lubes before you speak. Wd-40 is NOT a lube.

I would agree that it is probably the rubber bushing on the strut or the strut bearing. Also did you loosen the control arm bolts where the bushings are then preload the suspension then tighten them back? If not you will twist them bushings and that could be your noise.

Either what clay said or the top hat assembly was not reinstalled correctly (as it came out) These have been said to make noise if they dont go back in the exact way they came out.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps
