What car/combination should I do?

I wanted the Z for the fact that it has special items for the model itself. The engine im not worried about as much as i am the exhaust and wheels and interior.

I'm 6'1 so....I am thinking convertible would be better.
but then again I dont wanna have to search for a good z06 exhaust, and the extra 35hp in the 01 z may be worth it.

Like i said it will all be based on what i can find at the time.

That's the one I've been keeping an eye on.
The Z is a great car, but the convertible is just better in the aspect that you can put the top down and just cruise. That's why the did the Grand Sport the way they did recently. People want the looks of the z06, but without the price tag, in a convertible with an auto and it's been a huge hit. That's one of the appeals to these cars, and that's why I'd get a vert if I had to do it all over again.

It all boils down to what you want out of the car and what you want to put into it. For you, it sounds like you won't be happy unless it's a Z, so I say go for that.

Yeah im wanting the Z for the interior, the engine and the exhaust. I'd like the convertible for the openness though. on the z that little divider between the rear hatch and the cabin could be a good place to put a custom sub/box.

found a 99 coupe with 60k miles on it for 14k. Was gonna look into getting it and keeping the cobalt but I honestly wont be ready to buy until spring time. and i know it will not be there by then so i gotta pass.
After thinking about it once spring comes determines whether i do a base or a z06. the 99 was a base and honestly the differences won't matter as long as I find the right mileage/price. Color obviously wont matter, any stock color for a corvette looked amazing.
I am already setting $$ aside each paycheck for a downpayment.
