Since I was a little kid. Plus I have a friend with a BMW and another with a gto
Good points that others have hinted out, including myself.4Door;278537 wrote:would this Corvette simply be a status symbol for you..?
if so, you wont be happy with anything less...
my vote:
it's your money your dream and it will be your responsibility to maintain it (gas, insurance ETC...)
not to mention, if you had a Corvette, chances are you will find a reason to drive it, OFTEN...
do what feels right to you... i personally would go rent one for a week or two to see just how much i really like it... my 2cents
I'll be looking for a DD around this time next year. maybe before then if i find a good deal. I'm either gonna do Z06 or just the base convertible. If the Z06 came in convertible i'd be game for that lol. I want all the Z06 parts but if i cant find one that im interested in when it's time, then there are quite a few convertible base one's out there.Devilchrono;278551 wrote:Good points that others have hinted out, including myself.
The bold though, I disagree with. Don't get me wrong, I still love driving mine, but now that I have a good DD, the damn thing hardly leaves the garage because I dislike cleaning it after every time I take it out, the sight lines aren't great for DD'ing it and the ride really isn't all that smooth on the roads around here.
In the end though, it's all about what you want.
Honestly, my parents convertible is super fun to drive. It's really not that hard to mess with the motor and make the power that the LS6 motor does in stock form (LS6 heads, cam, lid, full exhaust & tune) all that should actually put you over what it makes. Like I said, if I had to do it all over again, I'd get the convertible over the coupe or Z. But, that's me.sirricealot;278768 wrote:I'll be looking for a DD around this time next year. maybe before then if i find a good deal. I'm either gonna do Z06 or just the base convertible. why would you do the convertible even over the Z? well i wont be doing anything major to the car bc i'll be getting an extended warranty. I wanted the Z for the fact that it has special items for the model itself. The engine im not worried about as much as i am the exhaust and wheels and interior.Devilchrono;278771 wrote:Honestly, my parents convertible is super fun to drive.
