do you want the Vette because of the looks, the engine / power, or because you think it'll get you attention!?
If you want a project car... and you like the Vette... Just get a project car and put the corvette engine in it.
/thread.
Also, you enjoy renting... congrats. Nothing like throwing your money away and never seeing it again. You REALLY need to look into buying a foreclosure, and making that your "project".
What car/combination should I do?

the looks and the engine. the whole dynasty of the corvette appeals to me.
I'm probably gonna spend 2 years in the place im renting now and i'll look into a house. I like renting bc any major work that needs done isnt out of my pocket. The place im in now is built really well and very clean. I wanted to get my own house but I do enjoy renting. less chance at foreclosure in case something happens.
I've got my 5 year plan in my head already lol.
I'm going to finish my second associates degree soon and while taking those classes im going to start my bachelors degree.

The 01's may have been 385, I'm not really sure. I didn't bother looking at anything before 02' when I was looking because of the oil consumption problem. It's all in what you want though, as not all pre-02 cars had the issue, but a lot did.sirricealot;278167 wrote:Oh.
Idk why i see places that it was 385 for the 01...
Starting with the 2002 model year, the LS6 engine output was increased to 405 hp (302 kW) due to a larger CFM air intake, stiffer valve springs, lighter sodium filled valves, more aggressive camshaft lift and timing, lighter pistons, and revised engine block.

Not to get off topic but if you like renting maybe look into buying a condo it's kinda like renting but you own it and it's less responsibility then a housesirricealot;278170 wrote: I'm probably gonna spend 2 years in the place im renting now and i'll look into a house. Exactly. No mowing or anything like that, but you at least have a place that is YOURS that if you invest some time and money into, you can possibly make money on it as well.

i already have to mow at the duplex. dont you have to pay like a monthly maintenance fee at condo's tho?
maybe a townhome would be better

either someone just wanted the badges, the work was done to increase the power to that level, or it's actually an 02' and it's just mislabeled on their site. Just some things to keep in mind when looking at that one you posted.
