Anyone refinance their house?

I have gotten a $3300 estimate from the current bank that has my mortgage (first bank). My closing costs/etc. were right around $2000 2 years ago.

This is on a $76,000 loan, and it seems a little high to me.

Anyone have any other experiences?

That does seem high.

My parents just refinanced as well and I know it was less than that (I believe more in the range of your old costs).

This was on about a 50 grand loan.

Talk to Dan McKee @ USA Mortage. That is who I went through for my house purchase early this year. Straight up guy, puts everything on the table and can give you an estimate of cost to refi. so you can compare.
