Like Josh suggested here is the new thread.

Edit: This is for A class.
So my friend Kevin tuned a R33 that ran 59 sec on scuba(i know that is miss spelled). for the life of me I cant seem to get my R33 under 1.01, I have tried everything in the world and I am out of ideas. anyone have any suggested set ups? I am also playing with the benz 190E, and a few other cars but I still cant get under a min.

Oh and has anyone on stlhondas started a car club?

May want to say what class the car(s) are in.

I haven't messed with much suspension wise other than toe.

I always lower the car the lowest without bottoming out (I sometimes keep the rear a little higher to help traction on the front wheels....don't know if it works well or not.)

I don't know a sweet spot for spring rates, shock bound/rebound. I can't tell the difference as well as I can with changing toe.

I usually keep my LSD numbers low ( in the 20s or 30s).

I try and keep toe out on the front, in on the back, on the tighter courses.
It helps turn in a decent amount.

I have never played forza so I don't know what is adjustable, but could you explain how the car is driving? What is the weight and HP? Perhaps I can duplicate it on GT. lol

I will check exactly what the set up is when I get home.

I am having a hard time finding r33 in the leaderboards for tsukuba.

Any skylines that are 1:03.5 and faster are r32s. Doesn't mean the r33 can't go faster, but like I said, 2000 entries and no r33s.

I am trying this myself....3300 is no weight reduction or 1st weight reduction.

I think the fastest way with the r33 is to convert to rwd.....you lose a lot of weight as well as drop about 50 points in class.

Anybody know if using the clutch makes the car faster?

Almost all of the top leaderboard people (probably use a wheel as well) use "full throttle shift".

I haven't tried clutch yet, does full throttle shift indicate they're using the clutch?

More than likely. When they reach their shift point the car redlines for a bit.

I'm going to try it on a half mile track and compare.

so here are my results with an AWD car

manual w/o clutch 18.30 avg.

manual w/ clutch 17.90 avg.

Just on a half mile track, going through 5 gear changes, saving 4 tenths of a second. That is a pretty big difference for 5 shifts.

Went back to tsukuba with a lotus exige and manual w/ clutch and barely got under a minute with a 59.94. Upshifting isn't bad....but it is hard for me to downshift using the controller....so I just normal downshift and let it grind the gear.
