Seen this in hotrod mag a couple months back. Just way over the top. I think turbos would of been a better choice. that many super chargers looks dumb

v24 9 superchargers
iirc only the 6 and 8s were turboed i know the 12 and 6s were super never saw one with more than 12 but i saw a 12 with 2 superchargers and 4 turbos lol 1500hp at the rear duals with a 21 speed

Couple things, and before I ask either I will let you all know my knowledge on diesel engines is limited.
First, wouldn't it be more impressive to know what kind of torque the engine made? I didn't think diesels were really built for high horsepower but rather torque and pulling things around.
Second, after running an engine balls to the wall like that for even the short time they did is it really a good idea to just shut it off? I though diesels especially it was wise to let them run for a while, hence guys stopping for lunch or something and they just leave them running.
Again, knowledge is limited.
