even though it is a crazy thought i could see it happening and the fact that they banned it shows that they are afraid of that. and\or the mass hysteria that the thought that this would bring.

while we may own some of chinas debt the amount they own of ours is more than likely quite a bit larger than what we own of theirs

We own the majority of our own debt, while China and Japan own just above 20% each (With China owning slightly more than Japan).

The commercial is slightly entertaining, though misleading in a few ways.

yea i know its kinda crazy, but alot of our larger "american companies" stock are foreign owned. I dont think it will happen anytime soon, but I think if americans keep expecting so much from the govt, we could lose alot of our luxuries weve become accustomed too. Weve essentially become bratty spoiled children expecting so much for nothing. I for one dont want the govt to pay for my insurance, etc...... I can do things for myself. Im not a radical by any means but we all know for a fact that welfare, aid, and our stupid open border are taken advantage of and our sissy politicians wont do touch them for fear of not being reelected. Im just tired of having to pay taxes while most of north city residents just suck up money for having 7 children and drive escalades while living in section 8 housing.

This is very true most of our debt lies in our consumers debt. so the idea of china owning us is scary... but not too logical. however i think we need to let the economy drop to yet another (great) depression and rebuild from there. i learned in my American history class that we have had many of these "depressions" and after the suffering came a giant boom of jobs and opportunities. as they say (whoever they are?) history repeats itself.

And its damn near impossible to buy just American because everything is foreign in some way, for example, the Toyota Tacoma is supposedly 80% American built and 80% American parts. So money spent on purchasing thus car helps our labor but benefits a foreign countries business. So in more ways than one, foreign companies benefit our country.

yea wasnt it chrysler that is now officially like 54 percent foreign owned after may?. Im not one of the buy only american guys because its bullshit, half of fords stuff comes from mexico, I just wish our country would actually manufacture more things in the country......then we would have more jobs. I dont feel we should stop buying foreign because i personally think half of american made items are becoming overpriced and quality is way down, (my wifes chevy is the worst car ive ever purchased new) I just wish wed spend more of our own money to help ourselves instead of being heroes trying to support every disaster or relief efforts in other countries who will never return the favor.........
