computers have reached a all time high in performance and if you get either of those you will be fine for what you do. When i buy technology i never buy the lastest and greatest and it is pure dumb to drop more than a 1000 on a windows based laptop:wtf2:

May I introduce you to Moore's Law, so far it has been correct. Computers are nowhere near their potential.

As for the Mac people, i have to ask why? Other than it being so easy an idiot can use it, they are overpriced, insecure, and have relatively poor build quality.

You cant sell the the windows anything for that much because they aren't overpriced to begin with. You cant buy a $16,000 honda and expect to sell it for $30,000 in 3 years. PC laptops are priced more reasonably and depreciate at about the same percentage.

windows sucks, apple sucks, open source is where its at! i wont buy proprietary anything anymore. i bought a new computer and first thing i did was install linux on it. if you ask me it doesnt matter what brand of computer or what hardware you use it all pretty much comes from the same place.
