well shit guys lets change this to a different area than the lounge. Thanks for the help so far.

Don't laugh at me too bad.....I have an air/fuel gauge but don't think I have a wideband. I know I don't have a wideband sensor because I put a junkyard one in when I went from 2 to 4 wire O2. I've seen where people have it, but wasn't sure If I need it since there wasn't one on before.
I will get some pics soon.
Its s300

It will be hard to see adjustments without a wideband.

A wideband will give you numbers/values you can reference to.

other than the o2 sensor how is that different than my air fuel gauge I currently have? it has lean, ok, and rich. each one has notches indicating how far away you are and mine is maxxed out on the rich side.

A "wideband" will show you a number....usually air to fuel.

Most can give you values of 9:1 up to 16:1 and above.

They are more accurate across a "wider" range. A normal o2 sensor will usually only sense a stoich (usually 14.7:1) range, with accuracy. It could still tell you lean or rich.....but I would not always trust the readings.

alright so it seems that a wideband is needed. Are there any brands to use or ones not to use?

Im gonna get some pics of the resistor box in a few mins.....(or what I think is the resistor box)

I like plx and ngk.

I've had an aem uego as well......although it did work. The output voltage (the 0-5v wire you'll hook into your ecu) did not match my display.....so it kind of ruined the aem deal for me.

The ngk afx is fairly cheap .... I think around 200-230.

here are some pics. I'm sure the air fuel gauge has nothing to do with wideband and I'm thinking that silver box is for the injectors. It has wires running to them.
I'm just curious as to how the car ran ok when I was obd0 zdyne with apexi neo controller.......or did the neo controller in a way does what the wideband does.

I also have a greddy profec b2.....I think thats what they call it. I don't have it on my car but will probably put that on soon. Or maybe I should just trade it for a wideband.
Hell I just need to stay on track. lol.

Yeah, that is probably the resistor box.

The usual ones I see come out of the accords....like this one

It runs different mainly because you are on totally different software. Maybe its the wrong basemap/multiplier....I don't know.
