Well you're up late... (Or really early)

I'm a boost fan myself. It's wonderfully efficient and fun to drive.

I was just looking up Precision GT4294's for my 240 but before that I wanna build an RB30 block and slap my RB25 head on it. Only problem is the RB30 was only sold in Australia and there isn't a single one for sale on eBay.

You can take my experience with that and go ahead and pass on that idea. Lol.

I won't go into specifics, but my car made it 50 ft out of the driveway then it blew.
It all depends on the condition your motor is in before you boost it, but if you're gonna do it, do it right. Trust me, it's worth it in the long run.

There are certain things ebay is good for.

$10 Chinese made oil cap vs $80 HKS oil cap - I'd say go with the cheapo ebay one.
$150 Chinese made turbo vs $1200 HKS turbo - The HKS is expensive for a reason, just like the Chinese one is cheap for a reason.

If you'd like, I can go on for hours on why any SERIOUS performance mod worth having is worth paying decent money for...

Well, I was just using the turbo as a specific example but in all honesty, the only thing worth keeping from your average ebay turbo kit would be the charge piping and even that can be iffy.

When I got mine the turbo had shaft play, the turbo manifold didn't come close to fitting, I gave the blow off valve away and found that it only lasted a week, the wastegate didn't control the boost like it was supposed to so the car over-boosted 13psi and blew the motor. It was a complete joke. Plus, these ebay kits make it seem like you can just throw some boost at a stock motor it everything will be smooth sailing, but they don't mention a thing about tuning or doing anything to the bottom end to hold up to the boost. It's a whole lot more involved than just slapping on a turbo and off you go.

If you're really serious about boosting your car, make sure you do your homework and don't compromise on essential parts. Be ready to spend a good amount of money to get it done right. If you go the cheap route I can guarantee it'll be more of a headache than it's worth.

I'm off to bed now but I'm sure someone will pick up where I left off if you have any more questions.

Good luck with your car. You've got an exponential number of possibilities you can explore so there's a good chance you might change your mind after you do more research. God knows how many times I've done that... Lol

If your really serious about boost, take your time to research what parts you need and how they function together. Don't even waste your time on a ebay kit. Check out d-series.org or turbod16.com and read all the info you can before you ask questions. There is a ton of info on there that unfortunately you'll have to sift through the crap to find.
