Do Illinois emissions tests count in Missouri?

Here's the deal. I'm looking at a car in Chicago. The catalytic converter has been replaced with a test pipe, and it has an OBD1 intake manifold. Therefore, it shows a CEL.

The owner just had an emissions test performed in Illinois, where it passed. However, I don't think the Missouri DMV would be able to use the inspection, and would require me to have it inspected again here, and I'm fairly confident it would fail.

Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

the mo inspection and il emissions are compleatly different

Im gonna completely guess and say,

Its prob a 96+ d16y7, older wont need emissions
Then, the intake manifold was swapped to an obd1 intake manifold instead of the wierd y7, this would throw the cel code.

Obd1 manifold would have a 2 wire iacv, while the obd2 y7 manifold has a three wire iacv thats on the tb.

The fix
get a cat, and stock manifold, or
In my case i went with an auto y8 manifold, because it also came with a 3 wire iacv. Ive also seen it done, by bolting the original tb on the obd1 manifold, while also bolting an iacv to the back of the manifold and just caping it off kinda like a block off plate.

So what years the car and whats the cel?????

i beleve 95 and older do not require a smog test

OBDII+ cars need a smog test

95 and older. 96 was the first year the government required OBDII
