Where to rent or borrow a trailer?

Post by Edison Carasio »

I'm supposed to pick a car up just south of Chicago on Saturday, and my GF's dad was supposed to get a trailer. However, I have a feeling he's gonna be lazy and not get around to it, so does anyone know where I could rent one at a reasonable rate or borrow one? Fuck, even a two wheel dolly may work.

I'm not holding out water on this, but thought I'd try.

But Lawrence is damn near to Oklahoma. I'm starting in STL and going to Chicago.

But that's a good deal though. Thanks for trying. I guess I'll call around to some local U-Haul places to see what they have.

I was looking at trailers online at U-haul. If I don't have confirmation from my GF or her dad that the trailer is ready I'll call a U-Haul.

Sharpie - I was looking on their website and it said all kinds of stuff about inspection and what not. Did they actually make you load your car there, or did they inspect to make sure you hooked the thing up properly or anything?

I have a trailer I can use normally but unfortunately I have access to it right now, being used on a job right now. Sorry, I generally try to help people out with a tow if I can.

No they load the trailer for you inspect the lights and that's about it. They will also ask what car it is incase you need a low clearance trailer

Thanks Sharpie, that makes more sense. I was like "WTF? How can they expect me to load the car on it on the spot? THAT'S WHY I NEED THE TRAILER CUZ IT DON'T RUN" when I was reading that online.
