Overhaulin a Civic

I was just on Netflix and saw that they did a 95 Civic for a guy on Overhaulin season 3. Anyone else see what they did to that car?

Made it look like an ugly civic.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that show made the "ricer" name stick to hondas...the only good thing they did was some motor work to a b16...

Yeah. I did like that and the idea on what they did with the trunk lip instead of a wing. Color scheme sucked. His girlfriend says, "he likes purple." Lady, if thats true, he is gay.

Yeah the trunk thing was a good idea...and some purple paint jobs look good...but I agree he liked purple a little too much

I think he ruined it. I like some purple, but the paint is way to Hot Wheels if you ask me. If that guy really loved that car, he probably wanted to go a whole different direction with it. At least it already had the swap in it. Foose should stick to hot rods. That is probably why he hasn't done another tuner show.lol

The overall car definitely didn't do much to marginalize the "ricer" stereotype that I'm sure many typical viewers (those who mostly just like the muscle cars that usually do) imagined when they first saw the project was a Civic.

There was just so much potential left untapped. It felt like they just had no clue what to do with it and decided that a "stand-out" paint job would draw people's attention away from the fact that they really didn't do jack shit to the car (compared to the other projects).

If it were my car, I would obviously be very grateful that they fixed it up. However, you would find it on craigslist the next morning. I'd trade/sell that for a clean, stock Civic in a heartbeat.

^^totally agree with you, chip foose is great muscle car designer without a doubt but he doesnt know anything about imports. I give him credit for trying though.... I'd pay him to draw my car, he's way talented.
