Been thinking about getting the 6950 or 6970 for the rig I'm building for my dad.
I'd be interested in any other notable feedback you have about it.

Bringing this back.
Upgrading the home puter... changing out the 4gig (2x2) of Corsair XMS3 ddr3 1600 for 8 gig (2x4) of GSkill Ripjaw X series ddr3 1600.
Oh and my GTX 460 has been back in and running fine for a while now. :w00t2:

i need to get new memory, I think, my ocz gold is causing a blue screen for memory if I run all 3 sticks, but if I pull a stick and jsut run 4 gigs I don't blue screen. Not sure if this is the issue because I'm too lazy to mem test, so I'm jsut assuming.

Use this to check your ram for errors. I recommend that you let it run for at least 20-30 minutes for each stick if you test them individually.

Oh dang, realized I never updated this..
Installed the second 6970 with my old motherboard:

But the top card was getting a little warm for my liking 70*C ish, so I upgraded mobo's to:

Progress pic:

Then a almost done pic, it's not much different from this now:

Really happy with it, and the power consumption of both the cards is still not enough to stress my psu. Can't say that with the Nvidia cards. Love these cards.

Picked up a Corsair H70 today, and 12gigs of kingston memory. Took my i7 @ 3.1 to 4.XX. So far so good, it's like my computer has a radiator in it now.
