Yeah, kinda sucks. I guess I'll just have to upgrade to their new cards, the 6990's.

Yeah... 700$.. ouch. The way I look at it though, buy one of those, and sell my card, maybe make some of the money back. If I end up (net) with 3-400$ in the card, I'll be happy. Oh, and have twice the card I had before.

Welp, decided against one 6990 after reading a bunch of articles and shit on them. I'm getting 2 6970's instead, xfire. The 2 cards outperformed one 6990 in the reviews I saw, they're quieter, and stay cooler. Oh, and cheaper.

I went with the Powercolor HD 6970 PCS+ 2 GB. They're a factory overclocked verson of the 6970, and have a better cooler on them. I bought one tonight, and probably will buy another next paycheck or two.

Hopefully I can run it in xfire with the 5870 I have now. I also might have to upgrade power supplies. O well. Anything for Diablo 3. :P

They sell for around 380 new still, I got one for 300 shipped on ebay.

B.A. Phate!

Sounds like the better route going to overclocked 6970's.

I just hope to get back my lowly GTX 460 working and fixed under warranty.

Original Price: $249.99 You Save: $50.00

Intel® Celeron® Processor E3400
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
2GB DDR3 RAM
320GB 7,200RPM Hard Drive
16x DVD±RW SuperMulti Drive
Multi-in-One Digital Media Card Reader
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD
10/100/1000 Network

I had bought a cheap PCIe vid card for it so I could also do HDMI out but the passive cooler was to big for the tiny case.

Built a newer computer for my dad from parts we have been collecting. Deal here, deal there kind of stuff.

-AMD Phenom II x4 955 black processor
-MSI (I know but it is tested/ running well, great deal) NF980-G65 board
-Master Cooler Vortex Plus CPU cooler
-4gig OCZ gold ddr3 1333 (for now)
-500w Antec 80 plus power supply
-Thermaltake v4 black (simple and effective)
-3x 120mm AeroCool Shark fans
-1tb Seagate Barracuda Sata2 3/gbs hard drive (for now)
-Super Multi OEM dvd/cd/burner driver

LOL, and because he wanted to see the screen better. A widescreen 27" Samsung SyncMaster P2770FH monitor. Stupid big for a work computer at a desk but hey whatever, that is what he wanted.

Got my 6970 in the mail today and installed it. It's working great, and nice and quiet and cool. Can't wait to get another.
