Hall street is the most pointless, dangerous wreck waiting to happen. Never go there, went once, that's it.

Don't get me wrong I would love to see this done and soon, just everything I have seen is they have no major financial backing.

I REALLY hope I am wrong.
This is true but i would hope that someone wanting to build a drag strip would have the brains to have financial backing or some sort of money to even think about buying the land. If they were not smart enough to have the backing they dont need to be building and running a race track imo.

I really hope this does happen but I have heard alot of rumors going both ways. Some saying they have the land deal worked out and things are looking good with potential investors. Others say they do not have near the kind of money backing for this to be a reality yet. Keeping in mind how much money this will require (a VERY VERY substantial amount), I am not sure which to believe.

Would be great, but only time will tell.

EDIT: Latest update on their MARpark forums...

Hey Everybody!
I just wanted to give you all an update on the progress we've been making.

1. We are working on all of the legal stuff for the track and LLC.
2. Looking at all of the DNR and health department requirements...not so much fun.
3. We are revising our track layout for handling more spectators and race-cars due to the recent market availability.
4. Git'n the financing done.
5. Git'n ready for the car show on Saturday. Hope to see you all there!

We are looking forward to getting the track built and running with everyone's support asap.

We appreciate the patients and support everyone has shown.

Ronnie

Benton is what an 1/8th mile track... that would be fun to try sometime, work on the short times which is the biggest thing fwd'd have issues with obviously.
