I hope it passes. This whole two plate stuff is BS. It serves really no purpose, other than $$ in tickets.

Hmmm. Even if it DOES pass, I wonder what the stipulations are? IE, I have plates that don't expire until Sept. '11. I wonder if this law goes into effect, if it means vehicles w/ new tags only, or all.
Finds it funny you (all) check my profile multiple times a day. Get a life.

ONE-PLATE ISSUANCE - Under this act, the state will only issue one license plate beginning August 28, 2010, to motorists unless the registered owner is eligible to receive a second plate (property-carrying commercial motor vehicle applicants can request 2 plates) (Sections 301.064, 301.120, 301.130 and 301.144).

So if currently registered we'll have to keep two plates?

Okay, just checking. Because they'd really have no way to enforce it if some cars aren't issued two.

I read through the thread pretty quickly, but it didn't say that the bill (SB 781 or HB 1363) had passed. The Senate bill passed the Senate, but I didn't see it passing the House. Also, checking the Missouri House and Senate websites, shows that neither bill was signed by the Governor.

I might be missing something, but I don't think either bill passed.
