Seen it in the link in the original post. Crazy swap for sure... seems like a lot of work for the end result. :smashfreakB:Rich;239034 wrote: Oh and End Game on motor swaps! :blob8:

You shoulda told me this before I got rid of mine. I may have been more inclined to keep it.Rich;239034 wrote:Dont chop up a rare car. Just build a standard 4 cylinder mustang. However the Ford 2.3 has a lot of potential in it.

I thought it was funny when they did that. "We decided to let the import owners get upset that we were taking their engines and swapping it in our muscle cars"
Yeah A LOT more domestic guys were pissed because it's one of the 2 or 3 most iconic muscle cars and to many SHOULD ONLY have a V8.J_Jay_B;239027 wrote:they actually pissed off a lot of domestic guys too. that car was just controversial from the start.
I thought it was damn good looking and sounded great, but I understand what they mean.
Yes it does, and I would keep that engine around to build on (and maybe swap into another car? who knows) but I still really want to swap the s2k motor because it makes great power AND it would surprise some people! hahaRich;239034 wrote:Dont chop up a rare car. I think I did. But you had an automatic NA 2.3. Those need beefed up internals in the engine and a 5spd swap or C4 auto swap to be able to handle much power. 150hp is nearing the max Id run through an A4LD transmission. (Automatic 4 speed Light Duty). Its the factory 2.3ts that can handle some serious power. 400-500 is possible and pretty easy on the factory long block with just an upgraded head gasket.Edison Carasio;239059 wrote:You shoulda told me this before I got rid of mine. Agreed but do it in a 4 cylinder LX Mustang. Chopping up an SVO for that kind of swap would be the same as chopping up an original skyline. Or chopping up an S2000 for a nissan sentra motor swap (the bad one not the sr20 lol)Bwill9886;239069 wrote:Yeah A LOT more domestic guys were pissed because it's one of the 2 or 3 most iconic muscle cars and to many SHOULD ONLY have a V8.

Though I have wanted to chop up an S2000 for a high rpm 3uz motor swap....
2008 Chevy Slobalt
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps
Yes I own 2 slow red chick cars & 1 real car!

The 2.3 that came in the rangers are tough motors. And about cutting up rare cars I agree, that's why a lot of them are so rare they all have been wrecked and or cut up for parts. I think an s2k drivetrain would be more fun in a small truck.Rich;239078 wrote:I think I did. But you had an automatic NA 2.3.
