I feel like ranting today.
Have you ever bought a car even looking through it think it was a decent car. Then once you REALLY look at the car and found out some shit the guy never told you about. doesn't that piss you off?
There is no work quality to a half assed hack job. its a straight PIECE OF SHIT!
I'm talking about swapped cars, modified cars, even a stock for stock repair.

I feel like lots of RA-TARDS like to screw up hondas one at a damm time. This is why hondas get talked down on. IMO
the ra-tards run their mouth thinking they know wtf is actually going on.
There is several stories I have about people that ruin the scene all together

reminds me of when i drove my buddy out to columbia, mo to look at a modded srt4. the guy told my buddy about the flexplate/flywheel bolts being stripped and loose. my buddy didn't care. $13k spent and 26 mile outside columbia, guess what breaks, the bolts. then i had to help my buddy pay for the tow all the way to kimswick, mo. it was a constant pain in the ass after he bought it because other stuff would go wrong or break.tkarner03;238533 wrote:yeah especially when the car doesnt even make it to your house right after you got it.

Oh yes... this thread should be good...
Brings back a few memories of SleeperSOHC37's Civic. Car has had a few issues from the previous owner, but the funniest was probably when it started to randomly cut off right when the turbo tried to spool.
We tried a couple things (and discovered more problems and solved those eventually) though couldn't find the cause of the cut-off. Finally when we were looking at the OBD-I conversion harness, my friend noticed a wire that had electrical tape on it. I had pulled on it before and it didn't seem loose so I had moved on.
Sure enough... pulled on it then, came right apart... the a**hole had just curled the exposed ends together and electrical taped over them. Who the F**K does that? How hard is it to crimp or solder them together?
Needless to say, I've been checking any old modified wiring regardless if it looks like it's connected fine.

This is exactly the reason why I don't like recommending modified SRT-4's to people. I know stereotyping isn't right, but there are A LOT of SRT-4 owners who REALLY don't know how to take care of their cars (or drive for that matter). I've known a few guys over the years who have had them and they ALL ran them into the ground (figuratively and literally).v-tecivic;238562 wrote:reminds me of when i drove my buddy out to columbia, mo to look at a modded srt4. the guy told my buddy about the flexplate/flywheel bolts being stripped and loose. my buddy didn't care. $13k spent and 26 mile outside columbia, guess what breaks, the bolts. then i had to help my buddy pay for the tow all the way to kimswick, mo. it was a constant pain in the ass after he bought it because other stuff would go wrong or break.

i will never buy someones project car. even when my buddy drove off to test drive it, you could hear the clutch rattling around. its now sold b/c he ended up having to replace the engine and it never would run right with the tune it had.Bwill9886;238575 wrote: This is exactly the reason why I don't like recommending modified SRT-4's to people.
