Ive noticed some of you guys/girls on here are fairly smart and i figure you have dabbled with some computer software or just been around long enough to suggest some good stuff.
Im looking to start a website or two, and being that my HTML is VERY limited (1 class in highschool) i was looking for a user friendly, sub $100, and powerful software package to help me create the website code.
ive looked into places like "godaddy" where u can create the sight through their onsite program but most place then "own" the website and i dont' want that (atleast i dont' think i do ).
So please any suggestions, past software you've used or heard about. Opinions about it good/bad.
Remember though i just wish this to be informative, don't want ppl , " xx is SOO much better than YY because i said so" that kinda fun stuff is for the shout box ... My teg > Rickles lude :piss2:

depending on what type of site your wanting to start there are php scripts out there for damn near anything, most of which are open source and free so you can change the code to your likeing. notepad++ is very useful for editing code.
i use no-ip and dyndns for all my domain name registering and dynamic dns, most newer routers support it so you could host your own site from home if you wanted to. i currently host 8 sites from home for free, on a dedicated ubuntu linux server.

Idk what a php script is (i assume a piece that someone else made and i would borrow it and change the code to fit my site better) which has to do with more HTML than i'd rather. And also the site im aiming for will be pretty much an info site with limited viewer input (maybe some comments) but mainly just articles with some "flash" for eye catching. and ive heard/think my dad does that free hosting from a server in the basement and ill look into that later but now im trying to get the site created first.
thx for ur input though.
