How did you end up with your car?

Crx was totaled, and needed a car asap.

1997 silver coupe
It was a hasty buy that I sometimes regret, but it's a decent step up from the crx, and overall the car HAS been good to me.

ITR: Wanted one, found it, bought it, picked it up a week later.
1000rr- Older one i had was totaled out in an accident and i was bored home for 2 weeks when i was off work. I WANTED another IMMEDIATLY, so i scooted my way and put a deposit on it in november. Picked it up 3months later on Mardi-Gras
The New daily: Randomly searching craigslist, just posted up (and super cheap) I picked it up 45min later.
... Which brings me to the '82 civic. Saw on CL, picked up an hour later.... then the 78 Accord... Saw on STLSR FS/threads. Purchased a hour or so later.

Thats it..

had a '00 gmc sonoma w/ a big stereo system in it and powerdercoated wheels. was selling it and got a call from a guy down in the boonies of Mo. told me what he knew about the car (wasn't much) said it might have trans problems. had my buddy that knows alot more about cars then i do talk to him to try and trouble shoot the problem. said he didnt care and just wanted somthing more "daily drivable". Drove almost 5 hours to check it out. took it for a spin and looked it over. the trans problem turned out to be a faulty slave cylinder for the clutch.
swiched titles with the guy, drove to autozone, had cylinder in stock. Switched out the bad with the good and drove it home.

made it all the way home on one tank of gas (truck took almost 2)

im glad i got it from him when i did.
-moved gauges around in car and couldn't solder for sh*t (still fixing all of that mess)
- saved money by installing new front windshield himself (sealer ALL over front, none of the trim pieces will seat)
-tried to dye the interior black (w/o taking pieces out and doing it rite, just started spraying EVERYTHING)

2003 Eclipse: Bought a 2000 Golf from a used car dealership, after having many problems and complaining they sayid they would give me full cost of the golf twards any car on the lot, the only one that was even peppy was the 2003 eclipse GT. I really wish I would have pushed for them to replace the golf engine.

94 Civic: bought it from a coworker cheap

ill just do the the cars i currently own:

93 civic hb - my two previous cars were a 89 corolla and then 89 accord. i have always wanted a 92-95 hatchback. the auto in my accord was going out and i was just doing some errands one saturday morning and just so happen to see a mint and bone stock blue 93 civic for sale in a used car lot. i wasnt really looking for a car but i immediatly pulled in and gave it a test drive. i decided i cannot pass this gem up. i went straight to my bank afterwards and see if i could get a loan. the advertised price on the windshield was $4400. the bank would only lend me $3400. so i went back to the dealer and told him that i could only get $3400 and to take it or leave it. she took it. i thought it was a pretty decent deal for a mint hatch..mind you this was also 7 years ago as well..

89 crx si - i love crx's and owned a 90 before this one but it was a big pos. RyanA owned this loooong time ago and sold it to a kid and it sat in a field for years and then ryan acquired it again. RyanA offered to trade me the crx (minus the built motor in it) to do some drywall/electrical/insulation work on his new house.

86 toyota pickup - i have always wanted a toyota 4x4 and happen to come across one on craigslist that was too good to pass up. picked it up for $600.

i owned a black 86 crx si and had the car a long time from 15 to 18 learned to drive in it and all that good stuff. i was looking for a new car because my car was falling apart sunroof flew off going down the highway. and then last year september i found a ok looking crx it had clean intorior and that was it. so i looked at it and i wasnt going to get it. but on the way to school the next day my exhaust fell off on brian rd and that night i when and bought the car. i was looking for a 91 si but ended up with a primered crx with no moldings and a bent hood, aftermarkit front bumper. but i made it my own. and i love her.

wanted a newer car after I graduated high school in 02. I was always into cars and a friend got me into hondas. I knew I did NOT want a civic or accord becausethere was too many of those on the roads. I decided on something a bit more "sportier" and finally after a few months of hunting I found the Prelude.

My mom died in '06 and I wanted to have something to show for the insurance money instead of blowing it on bs. She always loved that I kept a nice car and I missed having a Honda. I ended up buying the 95 Acura Legend (Sherwood) because the interior reminded me of an Accord I once had that she loved. Then I wanted a car to mod so I bought my 94 Legend and kept the 95 as a dd. For the Del Sol, a friend brought her to the body shop I work at to have the hood repaired and after she sat out front for a couple of days waiting her turn, I called and offered to buy her.
