Figured this would be a fun topic. How did you end up with your current car/cars and why did you buy it/them?
My old bosses brother ended up getting stuck with my 2004 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T after cosigning for a friend and that friend skipping out on the payments a few months down the road. My old boss brought it to work a few times and I drove it here and there and really enjoyed it. After talking with his brother I ended up picking the car up a few days later and taking over the remainder of the payments. The color was one thing that at first made me not want to buy it. But looking back on it, thank God I did because very few were ever made in Wheat Beige. And it was turbocharged so that was a big plus. I definitely wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't.

How did you end up with your car?
After dealing with many shops on my cordia and the Supra just being a pain and my interest in it not really growing I decided to take a break from cars.
Went looking for a new car as my eclipses clutch was starting to slip and it needed some other work as well. Ended up looking at a TDI jetta. It ended up selling but at this point I was set on a comfortable dd that got decent mpg. Ended up across the street from the vw dealership (elco). They had a lot of Cobalts on their lot. The salesmen kept trying to talk me into a Grand Prix (rolling couch). I wasnt interested so he showed me an 09 Cobalt with 18 miles on it for 10k. But next to it was an 08 sport. Had 16k miles on it and was 5500 more. But had every option on it. So test drove both. HATED the new 09. Drove the 08 almost every complaint with the 09 base model the 08 sport had covered. Ended up talking them down 2500 and got them to take the cordia and supra on trade for 690 each. So after I got into finance and added the extended warranty I walked out with a low mileage car with a long warranty for 13k.
Looking back on it I do wish I had gotten a different car just because a car guy never truly walks away from cars. My attempt at walking away has led me to modifying a car I have previously laughed at when ive seen modded ones. But now I understand a bit better and the few changes to the car have made it a lot more enjoyable to drive!
But theres my short story lol

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps
Yes I own 2 slow red chick cars & 1 real car!

How did you end up with your car?
The 2002 Acura TL-S = I had a 97 Talon, and I got tired of always fixing it, and worrying about it, so in a failed attempt to get out of the car game for a while, I wanted to get a nice, good looking car I wouldn't have to do anything to. I worked at the dealer, and traded in the Talon for the TL-S before it even hit the lot. I've had it since May 2006.
THe 1998 Acura Integra = So since I failed at keeping the TL-S stock, I needed a DD. I had the QX4 for about 6 months, but me and the fiance moved out on our own, and needed out of the payment. Sold the QX4 to my parents, and found the teg on craigslist and bought it from the original owner. Had it since October 2009.

How did you end up with your car?
I was wanting a different car for awhile back in 2008, something that was RWD and 6 speed that was faster than my integra. While on vacation I spotted a few s2000's that were super sharp looking, went on google and researched them, turned out they were 6-spd RWD and alot faster than my integra (this was june 2008). So right then I decided I would start saving.
In december that year I thought I had found "the one", but the dealer was a total dick head and I posted about the business and guy on s2ki. A few weeks later this guy sent me a pm that he read the story and that he had one forsale if I was still looking for one. He sent me some pics and I didn't like it at first and it was out of my price range. A month later I saw that he lowered the price so I gave him a call went and test drove it and bought it the next week.
its funny because before I seen a s2k modded I thought they were gay as hell lol

How did you end up with your car?
Current ones:
White Camaro: Traded my 99 Prelude to get it back. Got Camaro back as roller.
Wife's convertible: Bought with no drivetrain and built car from ground up.
Green 94 Z28: Found by accident. Bought as donor car for my white Camaro but it will be a burnout machine until I take the drivetrain out of it. It was cheap, I could not pass it up...
Accord wagon: It was cheap; found on CL.
Silver 4 door: traded red coupe for it as roller. Put the HX swap in.
Lincoln: Kind of an impulse buy but I'd still like to have it up and going sometime this summer if it does not sell.
Midori hatch: I was pissed off that I drove all the way to Kansas only to find out the car could never be operated on the highway again. Figured no reason to go home with empty trailer so I drove another 400 miles to Alton and picked it up.
Avalanche: Went to buy an extended cab 4WD Silverado and liked the way the Avalanches ran and drove much better. Rode way nicer so I bought it...

How did you end up with your car?
I found mine on auto trader. I discussed it with my parents and we went to look at it. At the time it was perfectly clean and the little y7 ran great, for what it was anyways. My dad liked the car so we decided to go with it. I have had the car since i was 16 and has been threw ALOT. After all these years i don't think i could ever sell the thing.

How did you end up with your car?
Wrecked my 99 prelude, and sold it to RyanA. I needed something that would get me through college, so I got a 97 2.5TL, hoping to "get out" of the car game. Little did I know the TL had quite a few problems, and I got rid of it the next day. I found the perfect civic for me, a 96 civic ex 5 speed with lowish miles, so I hopped on it, and I've had it for 10 months now.
