See that's the catch, I go in at 6pm to start setting up, and don't pay to get in because I'm working. So it's a win-win for me, as I still get to see racing/drifting and it's free.CordiaDOHC;221627 wrote:Minus racing. Minus drifting for now. Minus the wait to get in. Minus the 20 dollar entry fee per person.

I used to get in for free as well as i help setup the stlsr booth.Kage87;221629 wrote:See that's the catch, I go in at 6pm to start setting up, and don't pay to get in because I'm working. So it's a win-win for me, as I still get to see racing/drifting and it's free.
But for me the past 2 years its like gateway lost the point of MM anyway. With the live bands the bikes and skateboarders it was just too much. Then again I was going to midnight madness back in the 90s when midnight madness started at midnight and shutdown when the sun came up!

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps
Yes I own 2 slow red chick cars & 1 real car!

So since you're working there and get in free, your vote should be nulled. The only times I go to MM is when I'm in the honda booth and I even find it hard to want to pay for that. I stopped paying to run because of the 2 hour wait for one run years ago. I don't have a drift car so I can't do that. Paying $15 to just sit around and watch the same stuff gets really boring. Not saying that the mayham will not be boring either. Shit, I would just be sitting there also. There really needs to be a neither option.Kage87;221629 wrote:See that's the catch, I go in at 6pm to start setting up, and don't pay to get in because I'm working. I think both names sound fucking retarded... especially the "knock off" one.
I'm still a neighborhood ASSHOLE!

Midnight madness with a slight edge only because it is "legal".
Midnight is good because there is a track there....you have to wait a long time though.
Moonlight would be good to set up races with other cars you would want to run. Find an OPEN stretch of road to run on and you are done.
They need to maybe filter "racers" at midnight madness to keep the number of people low. OR....they need to keep racing until maybe 4-5am, it'll die down and more people would be able to run with shorter waits.
I would prefer a scss tuesday (or is it wednesday now) over any of these....but I know its not a choice.

what the fuck are you talking about?Redcivicsi;221582 wrote:My honest opinion would be that moonlight mayhem would put in a track so that the people who would like to run down the track can. also be able to do all the other nifty stuff at moonlight. but that's just my 2 cents
The booths at midnight madness were....pointless. I'm sorry, but after the 2nd event, there wasn't any variety and it was just a way for some people to get VIP parking. BOTB was an awesome concept, but had the same problem, as well as ever-changing rules. With that being said, it's still racing, and there are enough car shows during the season. I don't understand how being "free" makes standing around in a parking lot better than actual racing/drifting.

drifting/racing hanging out with friends
or
car show
really? its not hard for me to choose. yes you pay to get in, but really people? if you cant save to spend the 15-20-25 bucks on one night every 3 weeks then you should probably get out of your car scene and out of modding cars altogether. poor or not. waiting in line? i thought they fixed that problem. i never saw i line like i did 2 years ago. quit crying.

But at the same time if Moonlight adds drifting like they are trying to and a lot of the people are hanging out at moonlight then what does that leave gateway with besides a bunch of near stock cars racing and 20 dollars to get in plus driving to il. For me moonlight makes sense.modthesol;221811 wrote:drifting/racing hanging out with friends
