Also if preped and painted carefully they can look pretty good imo. Finally its better than buying rims then deciding you dont like them or the color after a few months, and having to sell them for a loss to buy something else.

so true, all about the prep, no matter what it is when it comes to paint.getteg;221034 wrote:Lame and cheap...maybe, but not everyone has the cash flow to spend on wheels or maybe they have other priorities with how they want to spend their money on their car. Honestly if you were to take those wheels against an aftermarket rim that has been powder coated you wouldn't be able to tell as long as the spray bomb wheel was prepped the right way.

IE i myself backed out of the scene tremendously about 6years ago due to more important things in life; priorities. i got lucky w/a few parts, saved for others.
BUT, you can also always save, budget, do TONS of research, compare photos, cars, etc, and wait for the items until the priorities are taken care of.
altho a lot of matt's taste i personally don't care for, i give props to him b/c he's learning himself..through many trials and errors.
i still don't like the color.
Finds it funny you (all) check my profile multiple times a day. Get a life.

I agree fully. I never rush into buying anything expensive expecially for my car. I was looking for a teg for 6 months or more when I found the one I wanted for my price. Also spent a few months reserching exhaust and suspension when I made those purchases. Since then there have been no major things bought due to my priorities. Thats why I painted my wheels which is why I made the commment.SlowOne.5;221039 wrote:whereas i understand where you're coming from/going with this, there are other ways too.

Besides having a problem with brake dust since mine are white they look great and have not chipped or anything in almost a year. Matt I recommend polishing/waxing any clear you put on the rims to help avoid the brake dust problem I have. Unless you already did that.
