Next project starting this coming week.

Post by RyanA »

Well, my next car project will be starting sooner than expected. I had planned on not getting it done for a year or two but I had a deal fall on my lap that I could not pass up. I'm picking up a 'donor car' tomorrow morning that will have all the parts I need to get my car up and going by the time it gets warm. I'm just going to do a stock rebuilt engine with mildly ported heads, probably stock LT4 cam, LT's, ORY, cat back, cold air. Trans is a 20,000 mile 4L60E from Phoenix transmissions with a 2,300 stall. Don't plan on setting any land speed records with this thing, just want something that runs low 13's that I can drive until I get parts rounded up for a more serious engine.

Otherwise, it will be getting a small system. Alpine HU, JL 500/5, JL stealth box, and some nice components up front. Already has a PAC SWI-X and all of the wiring run from when I had the car on the road before.

Here's the car I'll be completing in the next month or 2:

Here is the "donor car" that will be giving up its "organs"; just picked it up this morning.

What, putting an LT1 in an LT1 car? Or making the car stock and slow but still run low/mid 13's?

You do realize my white car IS an LT1 car, right?

I know plenty about stock and slow. I think I'm giving up on tracking everyone's car stats, because things change too often.

Obviously, knowing this, it makes more sense. Personally, I like the way the LT1 Camaros look more than the 98-02s
