New CR-Z....122hp and 33mpg

Post by Fenian »

The specs on the new CR-Z are out and it is rather disappointing. For being a two-door hybrid with a 6-speed, the combined 33mpg is pathetic.

Therein lies the problem. Honda added weight and complexity by making it a hybrid, yet it doesn't get good gas mileage and it isn't fast. The torque is available at a really low rpm, but is that worth the disadvantages of it being a hybrid?

What's the point of this car? The Fit gets 33 MPG and the L15 produces 117 HP.
