I just found out that my throttle cable is not adjusted properly. When I push the pedal to the floor, it only reads 80% and its been this way for the past year. You know what that means? :tusk::wtf:

thats probably not your cable if it only goes to 80%. i dont even think you can get teh cable loose enough to do that. most likely your TPS needing adjusting.

you are probably, more than likely, possibly, i'm willing to bet my left nut, 100% right.

However when you move the throttle to WOT under the hood, it reads 100% and it did have some more room to travel. Will a bad TPS do that?

I've seen the gas pedal rod get bent enough that it only gave a few inches of travel. How loose is the cable when throttle is closed? I've definitely seen them where they may only get 80% throttle but you definitely have to try. What is the TPS reading at closed throttle?

Once the cable is adjusted (if the TPS is adjusted correctly) you may have to bend the gas pedal upwards to get WOT.

Nothing like some free HP at Christmas time.....
