And maybe I am just showing my age, but does anyone else find it funny that a relationship can be judged on some level by the amount of text messages you receive?

Genius! She can't miss you if you don't give her a chance. And if she still doesn't miss you, there's your answer. Take some time and do the things you couldn't do when you were with her. And hell, maybe with some space, you'll realize how much shit about her you didn't care for to begin with.

And I totally agree on the text message thing. I text...a lot. But you can't base a person's commitment to you on the amount of text messages you receive. I mean, which would you rather have? A whole day's worth of superficial surface texts or a meaningful spoken conversation? Now, if you don't have either, it's over. It doesn't matter who initiates it, either way you'll end up in the same predicament. But it's over.
