ORANGE, Conn. (Nov. 18) - An arrest affidavit says a Milford police officer charged with manslaughter for a car crash that killed two teenagers was driving 94 miles per hour and was not on an emergency call.
State police earlier this month charged Jason Anderson with two counts of second-degree manslaughter and one count of reckless driving. He was released on $250,000 bond. Anderson, who has been suspended with pay, is due to be arraigned Nov. 24.

Police said 19-year-old David Servin and 19-year-old Ashlie Krakowski were killed in the June 13 crash.
Police released a videotape of the crash Tuesday that shows the car carrying the teens turning into the path of Anderson's cruiser, which slams into the car and sends debris flying. The New Haven Register and Connecticut Post requested the video.
The video was taken by the dashboard camera of another Milford cruiser, the papers said. That cruiser was driven by Officer Richard Pisani, who has not been charged but is on desk duty pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
Pisani was traveling at 65 mph but accelerated when Anderson's cruiser passes him on the right, the Register said. Pisani's maximum speed in the time frame shown on the video is 72 mph, the newspaper said.
The New York Post said there has been speculation that the two officers may have been racing when the crash occurred.

People in there making comments that the kids pulled in front of the cop. UHHH, he was NOT running lights. If he would have been going whatever the speed limit was, the wreck obviously would not have happened. If the officer would have been running lights, the people turning would have known they needed to wait. Pretty sad.

I posted this on Honda-tech and this is what the feed back I got. the person posting actually knew the kids that were killed.

This goes to show that police are sometimes worse than the criminals themselves. Not only that but they also arrested another kid who had a party at his house which david and ashlie were at. BUT tox reports are going to come back saying they were sober becuase they left the party at like 10. The accident happened around 2:30 AM. Either way noone can sit here and blame the teens. they lived in that area and knew the light and their right to the right away on the road. NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS. This was not their fault.

They werent going to a call either. Officer pisani clearly stated they were drag racing. Officer andseron and him were coming back from a mutual aid call at a stupid ass nightclub we have where all the trash of west haven hang out. They started racing as soon as they go to maturo mnotors on the right side (one block from utopia) And thats when the accident happened.

I forgot to mention DAVIDS family came upon the accident scene not knowing their son was in the car and they were saying how awful the scene was. He was driving ashlies car.

that sucks but i would have never made that turn in front of them.. too close.. never get in a hurry, just wait for them to pass.

see this a prime example of why 90% of cops are hated

thats fucking unexcusable but i agree with mike the kid shouldve waited for him to pass. but still that point is moot the dooshbag shouldnt have been using the excuse of being a cop to speed.

i understand that cops are just as human as any other person... but for god sake... 94 mph down a city road with no lights on?

now i agree that maybe the kids should have waited for the cop to pass, but maybe they didnt realize how fast the car was actually going... and as the quote for HT said they have a yellow blinking arrow to signal the right of way... so they thought the cop was going to stop.

either way its bullshit and i hope he gets sentenced to death by motor vehicle.
