Thanks all I appreciate the info. I just dont understand how it only has 27xxx miles on the motor but 177xxx on the body. I understand that he might have swapped a new motor in by why only a d16 and not a b series or did he mean to say 27xxx on motor since the turbo setup? I know not everyone that does swapps goes to the b series but why not upgrade to a dohc if you have the chance. Besides that car def. looks clean and well taken care of. And also the whole losing the tune after driving around for about a year. I would hate to get it tuned just for it to lose the tune again. What causes you to lose your tune?

because d's are way cheaper to build and boost, d's are definatley lighter than b's, plus why does every have to build a b-series? in my opinion theyre way too overplayed im sure theres a number of reasons to pick a d over a bnighthawk;200132 wrote:I understand that he might have swapped a new motor in by why only a d16 and not a b series

Whats not to understand about a new motor being put into an old body? He has a moderately built boosted D series motor. Thats why he didn't go with a B. Its not just a given that if you take a motor out of a Honda, you should/have to put a B series in there. As far as losing a tune, it happens. Different things can cause this. I'm not a very technical person so I can't list them all...
P.S. This line makes me happy.

Wrong. So, so wrong. These aren't shitty VDubs.GTI-Guy;200097 wrote:Looks tempting. Note the suspension is mismatched, or he has a typo on the suspension components, shown as:
• Koni Yellow Adjustable Shocks
• Ground Control Coilovers
I think he meant to say Ground Control camber plates, not coilovers. You wouldn't want Koni shocks in the rear, and another brand / Ground Control coilovers in the front as the dampening would be mismatched front to rear. The car is sitting pretty low, and you would want camber plates to tilt the wheels appropriately to counteract the lowering effect. If he ain't got camber plates, you may find yourself grinding away the inside edges of your front tires every few/handful thousand miles
Whats the point in going DOHC? He made more power then the turbo B18 and turbo K24 at our last dyno day. And he means it has 27k miles since it was rebuilt with the Eagle/Vitara setup.nighthawk;200132 wrote:Thanks all I appreciate the info. If you read it correctly I did say that I understand that it could be a new motor swapped in. If you read close enough he stated that after purchsing the car him and his brother started building it so that tells me that the motor was already in the car and was not built then swapped. All I was wanting to know is was there a new motor put in 27xxx miles ago or was it rebuilt. Anyways, Rob answered my question so thanks anyways.

Whatever, just seems like a weird thing to ask to me? Why not just contact the guy? You know who he is. He gave his contact info. Ask him these questions. :dunno:

cause you never know what someone will do or say to sell their car. Especially since it's been for sale for a couple months and he has had to drop the price a couple times too. Like I said thanks for any and all info guys!!

that's because no one in St. Louis wants to pay for quality cars that have been taken care of... everyone just buys cheap beat up ones that they think are going to be super duper fast and then they blow up.nighthawk;200165 wrote:cause you never know what someone will do or say to sell their car.
