new car, no plates, parking?

Post by IshbOO »

Ok, picked up an integra the other day, doesnt run.

I have a single lane driveway, and all parking spots full.

I parked the car in front of my house on the street, its been there for 2 days.

My neighbor i guess called the police and said there was a car with no plates parked in the court.

I got a warning of it being towed in 48 hours.

Question is: is this legit, isn't there some time period you have to get plates after buying a car? Would it hurt to park my car in the grass for a few days without breaking the law?

I don't really want to piss off any police man, but I'm trying to avoid the hassle of pushing it into the driveway, and back out, every time I wanna leave or enter my driveway.

Any suggestions?, may be a week or two before the car leaves my house

An unregistered car can no be in view of the street. If its blocked in on your driveway its still illegal, but the cops cant get to it to tow.

if you have an old plate laying around, I'd throw it on there for a temp, disguise

well i live in a very private neighborhood. no cop ever rolls through. no traffic at all either. some dick neighbor for sure.

I cant get temporary plates for it, it has to pass inspection. Car doesn't run.

Hmmm.... lol think we are gonna push it up my driveway a little bit, then ditch it off behind this tree, and have it hide for a week :)

I don't think you have to get it inspected for temps

It seems you need Inspection, Insurance, and Title(bill of sale).
