Halo 3 Junior Member...

So I saw 3 friends playing Halo 3 last night and I felt left out. Is it too late for me to buy this game? Will I forever be a Junior Member and never be competitive in it? I'm a COD4 kind of guy and never was into Halo really. But I'm thinking about trying it out now. Whatcha think?

Halo 3 is great, but Halo ODST is coming out this month sometime. You might as well wait for that to come out. It looks sweet
