I'd still be down for setting this up, but Babler isn't going to work. If something goes does like Starved Rock two years ago, our group will lose that spot forever. So if anyone has any other ideas for a meet spot, post them up.

yeah that sucked what happend. Unfortuantly there is no way to keep it from happening. There is a mall in peoria and in bloomington that have massive parkinglots that allow Carshows so that may be a suggestion. thats up north alittle about 2.5 hours north east of your location on 55. So far the interest ive gotten is from the MO,IL area so mabey that would be more centralize since we know Chicago has alot of imports. i dunno its just a suggestion. I would def need to know numbers before i could get with the mall management to see but if any one else has any ins any where else im up for driving down to SLT for sure..

river road in alton or something similar? bunch of small tourist towns. and on sundays i always see muscle car spillover from some of the hole in the wall bars. just throwing out ideas.

I like that one 2! any where that holds carshows normally would be a good spot!.

and if we're going to run with that idea. jet ski's or pontoons could be rented etc. if people wanted to call it a night like i said. tourist towns, plenty of hotels. plus there's the pier marquette resort in grafton. grab a few cabins set up some grills etc. there are definitely options.

pier marquette also has a campground and the fee isn't bad at all. the gravel road isn't too bad for lowered cars. just go slow. and its pretty spacious, be cheaper than a hotel and probably more fun
