Thank God I've got a PHD in Astro Physics to come to that conclusion. :PDT_021:
While that may be and usually in work zones I am cautious and at the speed they usually suggest if not a bit less. My overall point was that due to mechanical differences and tolerances in cars I can not see them being able to hold to such a strict ruling.

Now granted yes common sense says well dont ride the speed limit sign so closely that wasnt my point.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

Yes I own 2 slow red chick cars & 1 real car!

gay! it will never happen. what if a car is riding next to you about to pass, and he is going over that 1mph over; does the camera know what car is speeding?

ninja: who sent you the email?

i think work zones are already "no pass zones". i've seen signs up and some times solid white lines will be painted on the road.

Attention Illinois Drivers!

Post by Story Worm »

Illinois will begin using photo radar in freeway work zones in July. One mile per hour over the speed limit and the machine will get you a nice $375.00 ticket in the mail. Beginning July 1st, the State of Illinois will begin using the speed cameras in areas designated as "Work Zones" on major freeways. Anyone caught by these devices will be mailed a $375.00 ticket for the FIRST offense. The SECOND offense will cost $1000.00 and comes with a 90-Day suspension. Drivers will also receive demerit points against their license, which allow insurance companies to

raise Insurance rates.

This is the harshest penalty structure ever set for a governmental unit involving PHOTO speed enforcement. The State already has two camera vans on line issuing tickets 24/7 in work zones with speed limits lowered to 45 MPH. Photos of both the Driver's face and License plate are taken. Pass this on to everyone you know who might be affected!!!

What if I'm driving through in a car without plates because it's brand new, never registered?

Some of these work zones have no speed limit change warning signs. 65mph then go over a hill and BAM 45mph.
