Need Tires Removed and Disposed Of

Post by stussycole »

Anyone know of a really cheap place to get my old tires removed? I am going to get the wheels powdercoated, so the tires need to come off so I can clean the rims prior to dropping them off. Place across the street wanted $50. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper? Thanks.

If I were you I would deflate them and use a sawzall to cut the tires off and ask your local place if you can add them to their tire pile. Most places don't mind since they pay per pick up and not per tire so it makes no difference to them either way... if they are old tires anyways. If not walmart. They usually charge five to ten dollars per tire.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm gonna try and take one of the tires off tomorrow and go from there.

If you live close to north west plaza stop by my shop. I might be able to help you out. I about to do the same thing to my rims on friday. I work at firestone in the same lot as the mall right off of limberg. If you come by around 6ish I could probably do it for you no charge sence its no charge for me on my own any further questions if interested pm me. I can do 4 tires perty quickly.

The tires are pretty much dead. One pair has like 1mm tread left, the other pair has the cords/belts showing. I keep poking my fingers everytime I move the wheels around cause of the wires sticking out. Thanks for the offer though. If you still want them let me know.
