What I have noticed
I hate being called a ricer as much as the next guy. But I think people are so scared lately of being slapped with that name that the honda scene is becoming lame... I love hondas and almost all imports, and I dont know about you but I love running the piss out of my car and having fun with it. Im not saying Im going to blow 90 down a 25 or act like a complete idiot. I just think personally honda... (I know I am going to be flammed for this but who cares) is becoming more of a hard park scene. I enjoy running my car hard its what i bought it for its why performance parts were designed and built. But if a guy leaves a meet and he gets on it or clutch dropps it he is flamed for life. I know in some situations or areas it isnt the best idea... but really? Why are we modding are cars if we cant even get on them lol with out being flamed or called a ricer.

Its because when hondas make noise around here.....they don't move for crap.
You look up to see whats going on...and that noisy civic only moved 10 feet.

lol, you're car is a little bit more fun to drive man. getting on it in my car just isn't really any fun any more. sure, i'll get on it now and then or if someone's riding with me and asks me to, but really it all comes down to my own fun factor.

If you want to break the law, do it by yourself. The reason you're getting flamed is because, when you do that shit in a larger group and get caught, you make everyone else look bad too. That's why certain places during certain days of the week are seen as Lucifer's Ricer Hellhole, and others are not.
Also, and this is just playing Devil's advocate, aren't there people who modify their cars solely for the purpose of driving them hard at venues where it's legal to do so? Are they "hard parkers" because they only use their track-developed parts on....OMG....a track, but keep calm and obey all traffic laws on the street?

there is also a difference between rapping out gears when you are doing something like getting on the highway, and when you are moving 50ft between stop signs... Yippity dooda! i have to go fast so i can stop again!
personally, its more annoying to drive that way... I'd much rather roll that 50ft leisurely than slam it and have to put the brakes to the floor to stop again... I have lazy ankles and that's too much pedal pushing.

This post comes with a guarantee: I guarantee that I don't care what you think about it.

My car is a blast to get on it. Just not on regular roads with traffic.
Did you do this and people gave you shit about it?

lol lazy ankles. Im not talking about redlining your car between stop signs. I just think that people are maybe not having as much fun with there cars as in past times...Spork;177315 wrote:there is also a difference between rapping out gears when you are doing something like getting on the highway, and when you are moving 50ft between stop signs...
