As most of you know. I spent a small fortune at Bier Bros last year building my 444 Windsor. During the process they were friendly as hell. The build was for a 800 hp motor and fuel system as well as a few other parts and services. We all know what the car ran. 10.50. It didnt live up to the expectations on the track or the dyno. 476hp at tire. But I was willing to just move on and suck it up.This year I decided to spray the car.
So I took it to BB to talk to them about it. Kenny wouldnt even wait on me. He woild spend 45min calling all over ST.Louis to find lug nuts for a customer while I was standing there waiting to spend money. This happened 3 times and I finally had enough. So I took my business elsewhere. Most all of you know that I took the car to Matt at WPParts. Matt said we should maximise what power we can have on motor first.
Right away we planned an intake, cam and heads swap because of poor choices being made on the restrictive AFR heads and the poor choice in the cam profile. In the mean time Matt needed to know what all my specs were. He came over and I pulled out my 3 hefty folders of invoices. He was shocked when he began to see several FALSE charges and the amounts I was charged for parts and services. I felt like I was betrayed by people I thought were my friends. Several of you guys already know about this. But once again I chose to suck it up and move on and just never do business with them again. THEN we started pulling the top off the motor and found some HACK JOB back yard work. The cam was not the right size and couldnt be installed per spec. So they just moved it to get it as close as possible. The intake that I paid 550 to have ported wasnt ported. The cam retaining plate was scraping. There was no compression height hardly at all.I told them I was going to spray a healthy dose to it. They had a 1mm top ring on it. The pistons were gas ported, which I knew but now found out is very bad for a street motor.(Everyone knows my car is a street car)
At this point I was becoming very concerned about how I was ripped off. Many many people began saying that I should make otheres aware of the fraud and lack of professionalism that I experienced. I have been planning to do something about this matter,but I was side tracked with the new combo. Until last week when we took the car to dyno it. A lot of you have seen my car smoke from the breather when I first start it. M6speed has a pic from last year at a FAST meet with it smoking. Make a long story short. After seeing the amount of smoke from the dyno sessions we decided before we spray it we should pull it apart.
The dam PTW clearance was between 7-8 thousandths and were wobbling in the bore. One piston nicked a valve because of being loose. Then we found that it has stock 8740 rod bolts in it. This is for a motor that I told them I was going to spray 3-5 hundred shot on. The list goes on and on. I am so pissed. Earlier when I told you they wouldnt wait on me. I know why now. They thought I knew this shit already. I placed a call to Kenny Bier and got the he is not here routine. This I am not going to just let go. Lets see if they bother to respond to this. At the very least If I were you, I would run far far away from Bier brothers racing if you are considering having your car worked on. As far as some of the charges that I paid on things that were not done, I consider this fraud and am very willing to let BB resolve this issue or start the proceedings neccessary to get satisfaction. Over 30,000 dollars for a junk motor. Thats BULL SHIT.
