paypal can help you, Id give it a few days though think u may have to wait like 5 days, wait for a response. if no response file a dispute. they msg him, if he doesn't respond then they give u ur money back, and u keep the item.
and also dont give neagative feedback until this is over. or else he may give u negative feedback.

paypal dispute?
thanks guys. yeah, i sent him a pm but still no response yet. i told him he had until monday to contact me so we could work it out or i was going to have to take matters further, which i guess would be filing a dispute. the guy seems pretty reputable on HT, hes got a lot of vouches and stuff, so i'm wondering if he actually did mistakenly forget it was damaged. its hard to believe someone (who i talked to on the phone even) straight up lied to me about them being in "perfect" shape. but, maybe i'm too trusting. we'll see i guess.

yeah just dont be so demanding, try to work out a deal or u may get screwed all together, in that case make a thread about him on HT. but that would be LAST case scenario.
give it some time, he may just havent checked his emails.

right. i tried to be courtous in the pm. all i'm asking for is the money back and he takes his shocks back. nothing more. i'd even be ok w/ paying for the return shipping, even though i shouldn't have to. we'll see. i'm not going to do anything just yet. i know the guy gets on there everyday though becuase he constantly bumps his thread, so i know he'll see my pm. hopefully he is cool about the whole deal. and yes, if he refuses to work something out then i will let HT know about it.IshbOO;162884 wrote:yeah just dont be so demanding, try to work out a deal or u may get screwed all together, in that case make a thread about him on HT. but that would be LAST case scenario.

small update (if anybody cares...) i know the guy has seen the pm because he went on HT today and updated his thread. so i'm giving him until monday i guess to contact me still. also, i contacted the credit card company and apparently the deal is that you have 30 days to dispute a purchase. you call, tell them what the dispute is and they refund your money. they then send you some type of forms to fill out and file. they review the forms and decide if the claim is legit or not. if it is, it sounds like the credit card company refunds your money and i'm assuming they go after the guy to get the money back. seems too easy, but thats what the lady was saying. so...i guess he has until monday. hopefully i don't have to go through all that though.

paypal dispute?
i dont feel like reading the entire thread but from my experiences its hard to get money back through paypal unless it was a straight ebay purchase and it was within like 30 days..........your much better off going through your bank/cc company...as you said they will send you some forms and re-fund your money, they then pursue him to get there money back...my bank did this and refunded my money within 2 weeks, i never heard anything more about it but i got my money back'DC_T;163052 wrote:small update (if anybody cares...) i know the guy has seen the pm because he went on HT today and updated his thread. so i'm giving him until monday i guess to contact me still. also, i contacted the credit card company and apparently the deal is that you have 30 days to dispute a purchase. you call, tell them what the dispute is and they refund your money. they then send you some type of forms to fill out and file. they review the forms and decide if the claim is legit or not. if it is, it sounds like the credit card company refunds your money and i'm assuming they go after the guy to get the money back. seems too easy, but thats what the lady was saying. so...i guess he has until monday. hopefully i don't have to go through all that though.

I know that if you dispute it with Paypal it will negative it from his balance and put it as pending. If he doesn't have enough in his Paypal to cover it...it will freeze his account from further use until resolved.

yeah, just called them and told them what happened. they sent me some paperwork to fill out and asked that i provide them with as much information as possible. so i sent them all the emails/pms we exchanged and pics of the shocks he sent me. i guess they contacted him and gave him 30 days to respond and he never did, so the credit card company refunded my money and i'm assuming they'll go get it back from him now.IshbOO;172098 wrote:so did you call your credit card company?
