domestic autos I have had, it said to check the transmission fluid while running/hot. Every import that I have had has been a manual trans, this is the first auto.
do you check the fluid level hot, hot running, or cold not running?
car has been shifting funny and it appears that I may have a leak. It's up in the air right now, had a rattling heat shield, so I'd like to be able to check this out while I'm there.
95 accord, auto trans, damn that dipstick is in a tight spot!!!

check it with the engine off and hot.
also check the cable on the throttlebody and make sure it is in PERFECT sync with the throttle cable. ive seen people mess with that stuff before and screw it all up without even knowing and then the trans would shift right.

Run the vehicle to operating temp. Shift through all the gears then back into park. Turn the car off and check the fluid level within 60 seconds.

Honda Automatic Transmission fluid or Dex 2 if OEM is not available. Don't use Dex 3 in those transmissions.BFE;149133 wrote:sweet, thanks guys.
