i honestly didn't want to it was a requirement for being allowed to own a bike in Under my parents roof ;) but it actualy turned out to be Very fun rideing around on the little 250s was a blast and watching people crash was pretty funny also :P but i ended up enjoying it alot and if you have ever actualy riden you will pass no worries , and even a Bull headed kid like me actually can admit to learning alot from it

i4nac8;146053 wrote:I'm going to try and say this the nicest way i can, Have you taken the AMF safety Course? if not its a good idea. i'm happy your ok i have layed mine down once doing about 30 cause i jumped out in a intersection as soon as the light turned green and somebody ran it doing like 60 so i locked em up and layed it down to avoid going under the car.. Sucks i got my leg stuck under the bike and burned it pretty bad on the exhaust. but since then i took the AMF course and it really teaches even the Experienced rider alot

Again glad your Alright
No i have not. How would the course helped me. In the milisecond that i had to make a choice about how i was going to hit the person i chose the safest, least damaging way for both of us? Its not like this is my first bike an i have been riding for a month. Its been years.

Just curious, how the heck can you lock up and lay down at 20 mph if you are paying attention? I mean, a bike stops WAY faster than an SUV and the SUV missed the person in front of her, right? Glad you are OK but it sounds like there are some holes in the story to me.

Not trying to be a dick, just really hard to believe that an SUV could miss a vehicle when they weren't paying attention but you couldn't miss the SUV and you have a vehicle that stops WAY better than it does.

Prolly cuz on a bike you can follow closer to a car and expect them to pay attention to the road as well but sadly most people driving now-a-days do NOT, too busy texting while driving with their knees or some other shit. Yes bikes have amazing stopping power but if you have 5 feet in front of you and a car slams on their brakes... do you think you can stop before hitting them? if anything you would probably do an indo into their rear windshield... probably woulda hurt a lot more.

Glad to hear your not majorly injured Andy and that's sweet that you get an '09. I try to stay away from Manchester and overly populated areas with idiots. I rode down to defiance this Sunday with Chris with the RSX-S, who just got a bike. Hope you feet better soon and you get all winter to mess around with your new bike... also what are you going to do with the old 1000? I might be interested in rebuilding it if you keep it

ok im annoyed.

when someone posts about surviving an accident is it really necessary that there is always some tool talking shit about what happened or what the driver did wrong, etc. stfu. it doesn't matter. our friend walked away from an accident. pull your head out of your ass and have some sympathy or keep your mouth closed. no one needs to hear shit like that. please and thanks.

p.s. Andy...you are now on driving restrictions like brian. lol. i <3 my biker boyz.
