Post by big pipe »

my buddies brother has a 93 teg he wants to trade me straight up for the accord.
my car is a 94 accord, 4 door, lx, auto, 183,000 miles, cloth interior, nothing special really, but it runs great.
his car is a 93 integra gs, 2 door, fully loaded, moonroof, alloys, b18a1, 5 speed. dark green, with black leather interior, 130,000 miles.
i think im gonna do it, im just not sure yet.......should I?

i say go for it. i agree with tommy but it would be kinda hard finding a rust free teg especially that old especially in stl unless its been garage kept.

the teg has less rust than my accord (that isnt saying much). he wants my car because its a 4 door automatic (he has a few kids). he got the teg about 2 years ago for like $200 from a guy he worked with. the water pump went out on it while the guy was on his way to work, and the car overheated. when my buddies brother got it, he rebuilt the top end of the engine, decked the head, put in a new head gasket, put on a new timing belt, and a new water pump. he said the clutch is the original one and probably will go out soon. But my tranny probably will go soon too. oh, and my car has been wrecked THREE times before i got it, and needs all 4 balljoints up front replaced. the more i type, the more im talking myself into it.........
i just......i dont know.....that style teg never really did anything for me.......then again, my accord is butt ugly also.
i guess it just comes down to 130hp auto 4 door vs. 140hp 5 speed 2 door.....

anybody here have a DA? what are some problems i could expect? would you reccomend one to a friend? etc?
