That's my thought too.

He killed his own son doing something stupid knowing his kid was riding around on his bike, that really sucks.

im not saying he shouldnt be punished for it, im just saying he should be allowed to be with his family. he didnt mean to do it, it was just a big mistake on his part. he will be punished for the rest of his life knowing that his child died at his own hands. everyone makes mistakes. some are just bigger than others.

Yes he should but you also have to think about all the other people who accidentally killed someone who are being punished for it. Fair is fair right?

you have to consider the circumstance, if the guy killed a random kid just riding by it would be a different story. like stated before, if i was him just knowing i killed my own son would be punishment enough.

i think the guy should still be punished, but i also think he should be given a chance to be with his family before being taken to jail. there will probably never be another time where he needs his family more, and they need him, and he's sitting in jail dwelling on the fact that this was his fault, not even getting a chance to grieve with his family over the loss of most likely his greatest love in the world

they shouldnt have been let off. that is pure reckless endangerment. this accident was exactly that, an accident.
