A tire is not a tire even on daily cars...some last longer then others, and some provide better traction in the rain, etc.

Exactly. Sure pretty much any tire will get you going but, a performance tire will give you so much more room to play. Even if you don't wanna rip it around the 25 mph on ramp its nice to know you can stick it if you want

I run Yokohama S-Drives that retail at about $200 a piece. I don't track my car, but its nice to know they will hold up to pretty much anything I need them to. (plus, if I have nice wheels, why would I wrap them in junk? Not to mention these tires keep my baby on the road.) Just think about that. Those tires are the only thing keeping you from sliding into a gaurdrail.

BTW- your car doesnt have to be fast to handle good and be fun to drive. :thumbsup2:

edit- tread design doesn't make a tire what it is. Just bc it looks cool doesn't mean it will perform for shit.

true on the tread deal.I do want good handling and able to take turn like a mofo that was my orginal plan since it is automatic and dont have plans on switching it that soon.I was more referring to the tires deal on my oem prelude "si" wheels until I find me some really nice white or gold rims to go with the lude.

I have to find out what color rims i order before i order my brake pads and rotors this week because I dont want aftermarket that will have tons of brake dust and etc on some white rims.=\everyone told me oem if I do white rims.

Not true. Ceramic pads have the least amount of dust. I ran slotted rotors with ceramic pads before I even got my 19s, and I noticed LESS brake dust compared to the stock setup.

Falken azenis are great tires and only $74 a piece online which is only like $20 or $30 more a tire then what you wanted to spend. It's best not to cheap out on tires cuz it is the only thing on your car that makes contact with the ground, and if that fails then so does the whole car. A tire is not just a tire, but then again the car doesn't run, so right now it doesnt make a damn difference. wingless for the win by the way, and no red emblems...
