What kind of camera? What's everyone using?

Ive heard rumors of canon releasing the 1D Mk4 sooner than expected. All of the big budget canon fanboys were really upset with the MK3 that they jumped ship and went for the Nikon D3.

btw james, have you checked out the 5D Mk2?

Nikon D90. Its my first real DSLR, but already I am very happy. I can already see the progression that takes place when you have better equipment.

The better camera takes better quality pictures, the better pictures make you want to learn all about the camera to take even better pictures, your new knowledge makes you look for better subject material to use your new camera and knowledge on, and then you want to buy more equipment to help you take better pictures. Repeat until wallet is empty.

I have a 20D, no glass as of now, the combination of college and trying to pay the mortgage doesn't leave much to play with. lol

I'm not much of a photographer, so I'm only using a Canon Powershot A640, I love this point and shoot camera, tons of settings and works great. Got it on newegg for 300$ as a kit with 2G memory, Energizer charger and batteries, case, tripod, and cleaning kit, and that was almost 2 years ago.

I was looking at either getting Nikon D40 or D60... either that or Canon XTi, havent descided but will be my beginner camera..

a couple 420EX
and cybersyncs

i'll be getting out of the military next year and i'll be going to Brooks Institute in Cali....looking forward to it actually.
