Actually, if you think about it, it's more like big fish eats small stupid fish.GTI-Guy;125292 wrote:Big fish eat small fish ... just a law of nature and the globalization of the world's economy
Honestly, thats what AB gets for not owning 51% of the shares. In fact, I heard they only owned about 10-20%. That just makes it too easy for someone like Inbev to come in and take.

exactly. blame the people who USED to own stock and sold out. a large portion of the family sold out years ago. a few months ago when that Busch kid got caught drinking and AB denied as him as part of the orginization, that was because people sold out a long time ago.SweetEBPSi;125713 wrote:Actually, if you think about it, it's more like big fish eats small stupid fish.

I personaly dont like what has happened just like everyone else here but, companies large and small get bought and sold all the time thats just how buisness goes. Like said above in the end its about the almighty dollar and how much someone can make make off of an investment.
Im sure there are a few people here that do this from time to time. Find a good deal on something buy it then sell it for a profit. Everyone is in buisness to make money...end of story. Im sure if any of us were to have a few shares and stood to make a great deal of money off them we would have sold as well.
Finaly to those who plan on boycoting AB InBev products please think twice about that. This will make things worse than they are possibly going to get. If you and everyone else boycots the product then they sell less beer and make less money which you might say great, but this means they will cut production of the products and there for have to lay off/fire even more people which is never a good thing. There are alot of people out there in other cities as well as here that depend on those jobs to support their family.
Just my $0.02

I do stand to make quite the profit off the sale. I bought my AB stock a few years back for ~$40 as share as a long term investment, and not I am getting bought out at $70 a share

I only stand to pull in about $3500 but of that only $1500 is profit. It was a long term investment I was going to keep feeding. Guess I should find another company I think is stable to reinvest in.dodgin_it;125812 wrote:yeah my uncle is a driver for AB and had a good amount of AB stock. he's gonna make like 100k. sick.
