Sure, just cover up the important electrical connections with a plastic bag and some tape and dont spray directly on them. Just use your favorite degreaser along with it.nomocars23;124973 wrote:well whats the best way to go about this?

I had may bay done by absolute detail today and it turned out great.
Yes though a good degreser like T-Rock said let it soak in then power wash it with all important electrical connections covered

I just use an orange-based degreaser and the power washer. Then spray some tire shine, and use a wet microfiber and wipe everything so its not all greasy. :thumbsup2:

I use adams all purpose cleaner and a medium stiffness of a brush, spray the cleaner over the engine bay when its dry ( with car running ) scrub away at all the greasey tuff areas then spray away with the hose, not concentrating the water on anything major electrical, then wipe it dry. If any areas are still kind of splotchy i just use a went towel and a dry one and go back over. Then i use adams v.r.t. to shine up the plastics. This how i clean all the engine bays on cars i detail, and like the said tape around any major electrical wires for extra protection if you want.
