Front Plates in STL area

Post by Jawsiiv »

Over in good ol IL, I have had no plates for like 5 years never pulled over but Memorial Day they decided to pull me twice in one weekend on I-70. Warning and they let me go. I was like if I have to have one on the front, why is it 2008 Corvettes can ride with no plate bracket or plate and not get pulled over hmmmmmmm.

it does depend on where you are, ive been pulled over 3 times or so since march for it in o'fallon. One cop was really cool about it and said they had orders to pull over every car with no front plate that day to check for warrants etc, he said it was dumb but its the law and he gave me a warning as i have gotten everytime ive been pulled over for no front plate. I give the "i just ordered the bracket for the front bumper because the old one was broken" every time and they say alright just get it fixed.

I got my first warning ever issued to me in O'Fallon. But I just played dumb girl, lol. I acted like my car came like that (bumper w/no holes for a front plate, which is the way I bought my car) and that I just didn't know how to put a front plate on.

Has anyone gotten a ticket for no front plate while the car was parked? Lol, I have! Came out of Boogaloo one night and had a ticket on my car (was only like $10) for no front plate.....the cop also described my car as a white Honda Accord, silly police!
