I really think it depends on what you are driving. I got two tickets for no front plate in my old yellow ITR. One of them was in New Melle doing 5 under and the cop pulled a U-turn to get me then a prelude pulls in the same lot I am pulled over in without a plate and the cop says just to be fair I will write him one too and walks over and starts writing the ticket.
The other time I got a ticket was by Highway Patrol, I was sitting at a light and he gets behind me to give me a plate and tint ticket.
That being said the two cars I had after that (S2000 and GTO) never once had a front plate on them and I never got pulled over in either. The M3 has one but has illegal tint, and I havn't been messed with yet.

I think it might also have to do with where you are driving, small towns need to make all the spare cash they can so they wright little stupid tickets like no plates and illegal tintjlabeaume;120554 wrote:I really think it depends on what you are driving. .

i live by a cop and on days i know he was off i always used to speed by him and he would give me this pissed off look, it was funny. but that is when i had my old car, with tint, no front plate, loud ass exhaust. BUT on the new car (the teg) i have a front plate relocated to the side, with no tint, and no exhaust. They no longer have ANY reason to pull me over

if you come up around my area with no front plate or window tint too dark your pretty much guaranteed to get a ticket from the state boys especially at the end of the month

i bought a truck without a title once. i couldnt license it until i got the title from the previous owner, so i took the front plate off my other truck and put it on the new one. my work truck with the illegal plate never got stopped once, i drove it 5 days a week for 4 years with ONE bad plate on it.
on the other hand, my sonoma had the other plate on it and i got stopped about once a month and got ticketed.
if you dont mind paying the ticket, take it off......if you dont feel like getting hassled, leave it on.
p.s. if your cars so ugly you gotta take the front plate off for it to look good, you have bigger things to worry about
