To those who have removed their front plates...

Have you been pulled over for it or anything? What about displaying it in the Windshield/Dash area? How strict are they about it?

i got a ticket in my mom's car for no front plate when it was in the windshield. only reason i have it on the civic now is because i have no money to pay for a possible ticket. if you are trying to decide whether to put it on or not, keep in mind that if you dont, you could possibly get a ticket at any time. but then again some people have went years without getting ticketed for it. pretty much depends on whether you want to risk the ticket or not

I dont always have mine off but have driven past many cops when its not there and have never been pulled over. I think as long as you dont draw attention to yourself you are ok.

i live in the Arnold area. i went about a year and a half without any hassle. then i was pulled over as i was leaving a gas station. told him i just got a bumper from the junkyard and it didn't have the bracket. the cop gave me a written warning and let me go. no more than 2 days later i got pulled over again in arnold. this cop let me go after i showed him the warning ticket i recieved prior. now my front plate is on the front and staying on until i can get my body work done and a new paint job. then i'll use the "i just got the car painted excuse' and see how long i can go without it again.
